Learn how to configure shared cluster directories, Cluster IDs, and CrossTravel settings across multiple server instances.
1What is an ARK Cluster?
An ARK server cluster links two or more dedicated server instances (e.g. The Island + Scorched Earth) using a shared cluster directory. Players can travel between maps at Obelisks and Supply Drops while retaining their level, inventory, and tamed creatures.
2Configuring Cluster ID and Directory
1. In ARK Server Manager, select Instance 1.
2. Under Cluster Settings, specify a unique Cluster ID (e.g. MyAscendedCluster2026).
3. Set a shared directory path (e.g. D:\ARKClusterData).
4. Repeat for Instance 2 using the SAME Cluster ID and shared path.
5. Enable CrossTravel transfers and launch both servers.
